In December, Mažeikiai, as well as all over Lithuania, hosts many festive events and concerts dedicated to the upcoming Christmas and New Year celebrations. 
 

Christmas music concerts in churches and cultural centres, featuring traditional Christmas songs and sacred music. 
Concerts in cultural centres and other public spaces in the city, featuring local music groups, school choirs and orchestras. 

The lighting ceremony of the municipal Christmas tree, usually accompanied by musical performances and concerts. 
New Year's Eve concerts just before the New Year, offering a varied musical programme, with fireworks at midnight. 

Special festive events for families, featuring children's musical performances, theatrical plays and other entertainment activities. 

Live music evenings in cafés, bars and nightclubs that offer a relaxing way to unwind during the festive period, listening to artists from different music genres.
