Midsummer events

Lithuania's Harvest Festival is a spectacular traditional celebration symbolising the end of winter and the beginning of spring. Pancakes are an integral part of Užgavėni. They symbolise the sun, warmth and growth. The events include pancake baking and eating competitions, which not only add more fun to the festivities, but also allow visitors to taste a variety of pancake recipes, from traditional to modern interpretations. 
 

Burning the cake is an emotional highlight of the festival, symbolising the expulsion of winter and the welcome to spring. This spectacle combines ancient customs with the modern spirit of the festival, giving spectators the opportunity to experience cultural and spiritual renewal. 
 

Christmas is famous for its diverse music and dance programmes. Local musicians and dancers revive ancient songs and dances, giving the festival an authentic and lively atmosphere. These performances not only entertain, but also pass on Lithuanian cultural heritage.
