The shoreline of Lake Dauniškios, which is located in the centre of the city, is the heart of Utena's residents and visitors: paths have been built around the lake, benches have been set up, the various plants and lawns have been carefully maintained, and the territory has been lit. Happy children play on the playgrounds on the shores of Lake Dauniškios, while the elderly find peace and an oasis of fresh air. On the occasion of the 750th anniversary of the town's foundation (2011), Utena received a spectacular gift: a unique attraction - a luminous and playing fountain with a water screen - was installed in Lake Dauniškio.
