The new Dubingiai St. The foundation stone of the new church of St. George the Martyr was laid in October 2012 (project author arch. Kęstutis Pempė). Construction was scheduled to be completed at the end of 2014. In addition to the contribution of the local community, the main sponsor of the construction is the family foundation of Aurelijus Rusteika and Aurelija Rusteikienė, a businessman and founder of the Topo centras shopping chain, from which about LTL 2 million was allocated.
The wooden frame of the building is erected on the site of the old church. The new church is similar in size to the old one. The architecture of the cross-shaped church is laconic and traditional, using simple, Lithuanian materials: glued wood, glass, and special tiles on the roof and walls, reminiscent of the shingles that used to cover roofs in the old days. The church ensemble includes an old bell tower in the corner of the churchyard, a stone fence, and a restored gate.
