In 1978, a mechanical workshop was built in the centre of the "Balandis" collective farm, which was equipped with a small meeting room. It was also used to organise cultural events.
In 1992 a new cultural centre was opened in Liučiūnai village. The first director was Zina Kaminskienė and the artistic director was Donatas Šiaudytis.
The aim of the activity is to provide quality cultural services that meet the needs of the modern society and the needs of the individual, allowing for the self-expression of the community, and the development of cultural events for the inhabitants of Chekiskė sub-districts.
