Padauguva House of Culture was built in 1959. The first director was Kazys Muckus. At that time, dancing and singing were not only part of the dance evenings, but also interesting lectures were given, and art circles were popular. The House of Culture was headed by Vanda Sabaliauskaitė - Kalasūnienė from 1967-1968, and Vanda Sabaliauskaitė - Kalasūnienė from 1968-1970. Onutė Gudžinskaitė, and the artistic director was Padleckas, who led the men's vocal ensemble, a mixed choir and a brass band.
