The post office of this parish of just a couple of hundred inhabitants opened in 1885. The two-storey red-brick building, founded at the expense of the Šperberys, the owners of the Priekule Manor, is notable for its architecture and functionality. The ground floor housed the post office and the forestry office, while the first floor was used for living quarters. The façade of the building is still decorated with picturesque details, such as wooden doors and a plinth made of hewn stones. Unfortunately, the wall paintings in some of the rooms were destroyed during the Soviet renovation. This building, listed in the Register of Cultural Heritage, has retained its original purpose for a very long time - the old post office in the centre of Priekulė was open until mid-2018, and has now been moved to new premises.
