Oksana Griaznova holds a degree in contemporary dance performance from North-Karelia College Outokumpu in Finland. In order to deepen her knowledge of movement and its communication, the context of contemporary dance and dance theory, she studied contemporary dance pedagogy in Frankfurt am Main, Germany (Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst). Oksana has worked at Aura Dance Theatre and is currently a dancer at Sheiko Dance Theatre. She has taught contemporary dance at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre and the National M. K. Čiurlionis School of Arts. In her current work she wants to emphasise that interpretation, variation, (re)construction and transposition are integral parts of every action and are significant in creating interconnection. Oksana is also interested in stepping out of the 'comfort zone' and embodying complex and unfamiliar qualities of movement.
