Born on 9 August 1957 in Telšiai. 1975 - graduated from the Žemaitė Secondary School in Telšiai (today - Žemaitė Gymnasium). In 1975-1979 he studied acting at the State Conservatoire (today - Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre) (Dalia Tamulevičiūtė and Irena Bučienė were the course leaders). He has been working at Vilnius Lėlė Theatre since 1979.
