Born in 1945 in Denmark. Studied textile art at the Werkkunstschule (school of arts and crafts) in Krefeld, Germany. After that, she spent three years at Copenhagen's Kunsthåndværkerskolen. In the 1970s, Dehlholm worked as a scenographer in the Rimfaxe theater group. in 1977 Together with Per Flink Basse, she founded the theater collective "Billedstofteatret", which operated until 1985. She developed new concepts of performance art, created scenarios according to which people formed artistic pictures, accompanied by music or sound effects. Memorable works from this creative period include Gyldne vinger og blå löfter (Golden Wings and Blue Promises, Charlottenborg, 1977) and Påtrængende lægninge (Intrusive Relatives), a live exhibit presented at the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek in 1979. in 1985 Dehlholm formed the theater group Hotel Pro Forma, which she still manages. She created around 30 performances, combining art with theatrical landscape painting and modern, minimalist design. Some of her works use mirror images and optical illusions. Director and video artist, best known as the leader of the group Hotel Pro Forma, who creates plays, operas, interdisciplinary projects and performances in various countries around the world. Due to her ability to create experimental installations that combine existential themes such as belief, identity and war, in 2013 Was awarded the "Thorvalden" medal. She was noted for her consistently innovative artistic work and strong sense of stage confrontation. in 2015 the director was awarded the Outstanding Performing Arts Award (ISPA) and the Reumert Danish Honorary Award of the Year.
