In 1981-1985 he studied at the Lithuanian Academy of Music, Department of Acting (course leader Jonas Vaitkus).
In 1985-1988, he worked as an actor at the Kaunas State Academic Drama Theater.
Since 1988, he has been working at the Lithuanian State Academic Drama Theater (now the Lithuanian National Drama Theatre).
