Born on 01 01 1946 in Geruli, Prienai district. Died 06 06 2019 in Vilnius.
Graduated from Kaunas Medical Institute (now Lithuanian University of Health Sciences) in 1968. He worked in a hospital, later in the Lithuanian Radio and Television Committee, in the editorial offices of "Nemunas", "Mūsų gamtos", "Kauno Tiesos", "Vilties". He was the Director of the Library of the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences.
