Born in 1940 Taujėnai, Ukmergė district. In 1958-1962, he studied at the Vilnius State Conservatory (now the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater, course directors: Prof. Irena Vaišytė, Vladimiras Ilinkovskis). In 1962-1964, he worked as a teacher-assistant in the acting department at the Vilnius State Conservatory. Since 1964, he has been creating roles in the Kaunas National Drama Theater. As a theater pedagogue and director, he worked for ten years as the head of the drama team of the then Institute of Physical Culture (now the Lithuanian Sports University), in the studio created there he staged "Silva studentauja" by Kazia Sajas, "Student novel" by Raimunds Samulevičius, "Love, jazz and the devil" by Juoz Gruš and others Worked as a lecturer at Kaunas University of Technology. For eight years, he led the drama group at the Kaunas factory "Atrama". in 2011 In the schools of Kaunas, Druskininkai, Šakiai, Klaipėda, Varėna, he conducted meetings with students on the topic "Secrets of acting excellence". in 2010 With a poetry evening based on the work of Kęstutis Genis, he participated in the project "Dialogue - Word and Color" and visited Lithuanian communities in the United States.
