Biography
Born on 06.09.1920 in Padustelis (Zarasai district), died on 24.03.1979 in Vilnius.
In 1940 graduated from the Salos Agricultural School, joined the Vilnius Infantry School. He participated in the Soviet army in World War II, was captured by the Germans twice and escaped. Demobilised in 1945, he worked in newspaper and magazine editorial offices. 1957 graduated from the Higher Literary Course of the Maxim Gorky Literary Institute in Moscow.
