Born on 09 01 1939 in Varėno. Member of the Lithuanian Photographers' Union since 1999, granted the status of artist in 2005. Member of the Varėno section of the M.K.Čiurlionis Society. 1945 - 59 lived with his parents in exile in Perm, Russia. 1960-65 studied at the J.Tallat-Kelpša Higher School of Music in Vilnius, 1972-77 at the B.V.Shchukin Theatre Institute in Moscow, 1984-89 at the Lithuanian Art Institute. 1978-93 lecturer at the Telšiai and VIlnius Culture Schools.
