In 1969, Eugenijus Urbonas graduated from the Lithuanian State Conservatory, prof. Viktor Radovičius' class.
1974-1988 he played in the piano trio of the Lithuanian State Philharmonic with pianist Halina Radvilaite and cellist Silvija Sondeckiene, and worked as a teacher. In 1972, Professor Saulius Sondeckis invited him to the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra, a group of first violins, he soon became the concertmaster and played continuously in the orchestra for 46 years. When he came to the orchestra, there were like two groups in it - teachers and students, but this did not cause tension, the students looked at the elders with respect. "However, this feeling of being a student ended very quickly, and I didn't even notice how I became the oldest," said E. Urbonas, who has a bright memory.
