Tomaso Giovanni Albinoni was born on June 8, 1671 in Italy. He was a famous composer and kapellmeister, although many of his works were lost during the War of the Holy League. One of his most popular works is the Adagio in G minor, which is often considered one of the most beautiful instrumental pieces. Albinoni is also known for his operas and sonatas. He died in 1751 and was buried in Venice.
