Violinist, composer of Lithuanian Jewish origin in the USA and RussiaBorn in 1886 May 13 In Lazdijai. At the age of 5, he started playing the violin, the first teacher was his father Abraham Achronas - a megean violinist, mother Berta Maram. Had a younger brother, Isidor Achron, who was a pianist and composer. Mr. Achronas performed in Warsaw at the age of 7, and traveled and performed in various cities of the Russian Empire as a teenager. 1899-1904 studied at the St. Petersburg Conservatory (in L. Auer's violin class), then studied composition with Anatolii Liadov.in 1911 joined the Jewish Folk Music Society, where as a member he was actively researching and interested in Jewish music. The composer's first work was the Hebrew Melody in 1911, which was praised by the famous violinist Jascha Heifetz. In 1913-1916 he taught at the Kharkiv Conservatory. 1916-1918 served in the army of the Russian Empire. After the First World War, between 1919-1922, he traveled and performed throughout Eastern and Central Europe, giving a total of about 1000 performances. While performing, at the same time he worked as the head of the violinist school of the Department of the Leningrad Union of Artists.in 1922 moved to Berlin, where together with Michail Gnesin, he opened Yivneh, a Jewish music store. in 1924 went to Palestine, where he spent several months. in 1925 went to the USA and settled in New York, where he worked as a violin teacher at the Westchester Conservatory. in 1927 performed with the Boston Symphony Orchestra. in 1934 moved to Hollywood, where he composed music for films, plays for string quartet, violin and continued to perform. in 1936 performed with the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra.
