Giulio Caccini was an Italian singer and composer. He was the leading representative of the musical style in art and singing. He was famous for opera and song performances in many Florentine artists' palaces and homes. Jacopo Peri's opera Euridice was enriched with Caccini's songs, which he later revised to make this opera known in its final version. Caccini's Nuove Musiche (1602) is a well-known collection. His daughter Francesca Caccini was also a known composer.
