Victor Massé was a French composer born on March 7, 1822. He studied at the Paris Conservatory and went on to become a prolific composer of operas, operettas, ballets, and other musical works. Among his best-known works are the operas La chanteuse voilée and Les noces de Jeannette. Massé passed away on July 5, 1884.
