Charles Camilleri was a Maltese composer and musician born on September 7, 1931. He had a prolific career and composed over 100 works, including operas, orchestral pieces, and chamber music. Camilleri was also known for incorporating elements of Maltese folk music, Arabic music, and other styles into his compositions. He was awarded the Order of Merit of Malta in recognition of his contributions to Maltese culture. Camilleri passed away on January 3, 2009.
