Biography of famous Alessandro Scarlatti's son. As his father's apprentice, he created several operas in Rome. He was also a conductor at St. Peter's. After several years, he moved to the Portuguese court where he had a princess as his student. In 1729, when she went to Spain to marry the future king, Scarlatti accompanied her. Domenico was a very good harpsichord and organ player. He wrote more than 500 sonatas for harpsichord. He also wrote music for the church, such as the amazing Stabat Mater.
