Vaclav Nelhybel was an internationally renowned composer and conductor, born on September 24, 1919, in Polanka, Czechoslovakia. He began his career as a conductor at Radio Prague and the City Theater of Prague before becoming the Musical Director of Radio Free Europe in Munich. He lived in different parts of the United States, including Pennsylvania and New York City, and was highly regarded for his compositions, conducting, teaching, and lecturing across the globe. Nelhybel had over 400 published works in various genres and more than 200 unpublished works.
