Hans Eijsackers was born on February 15th, 1967 in The Hague. At the young age of 13, he won the Rotterdamse Piano-Driedaagse and the Edith Stein Contest, which is now called the Princess Christina Contest. He went on to win the European Piano Contest in 1991, which took place in France, Germany, and Luxembourg. In addition to his solo career as a pianist, he also works as a teacher at the Royal Conservatory of Music in The Hague, and has toured Italy, Russia, and the Far East. He has collaborated with several notable musicians, including Eglio Battaglia, D. Fischer Dieskau, and Placido Domingo. He premiered his latest composition, "Amuse-Gueule," with the Hexagon Ensemble in January 2002.
