He is one of the pioneers of electronic music and became famous for his experimental and innovative composing styles that blend with classical, rock, pop, and other music genres. Sakamoto is also a soundtrack composer and created music for films such as "The Revenant", "Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence", and "The Last Emperor".
