Latvian singer and actress, best known in the countries of the former Soviet Union and Europe.At the age of 12, she participated in a competition of young singers and was noticed. 1970-1973 studied at the Riga Medical School, planned to become a surgeon. She also continued to sing with the group, became the leader of the group and performed in nightclubs and restaurants for several years. In the 1990s, he studied acting and directing in Moscow. in 1985 became famous in the Soviet Union.Since 1986 cooperates with popular Latvian composer Raimonds Paulus and Russian poet Ilya Reznik. With R. Paul, she was one of the organizers of the Jūrmala popular music festival. In the 1990s and 100s, he participated in various international music competitions and festivals in Europe.
