Dainius 1963-1974. studied at Vilnius M.K. Čiurlionis secondary art school (conducting was taught by K. Kaveckas). 1974-1980 continued his choral conducting studies at the Lithuanian State Conservatory (classes of head teacher H. Perelštein and Prof. K. Kaveckos). At the same time, he studied the organ with prof. L. Degree (graduated in 1981). in 1981 improved in the seminar of organists in Weimar (Germany) with prof. E. Kohler, and in 1990 and 1991 further improved in Haarlem and Alkmaar (Netherlands).1980-1983 D. Sverdiolas was a music and singing teacher at an eight-year school in Rykantų (Trakų district).
Since 1983 Concertmaster and teacher of choir conducting at the Juoz Tallat-Kelpša Higher Music School (conservatory) in Vilnius. 1984-1986 was the head of the student choir studio. He prepared programs for state exams, organized several public concerts, participated in 1985. at the republican song festival and competition.Since 1992 Head of the organ class at Vilnius Juozos Tallat-Kelpšas Conservatory. 1982-1984 was the choirmaster-conductor of the student mixed choir "Gabija" of the Vilnius Institute of Engineering Construction. For the collective's 20th anniversary concert (May 26, 1984), he prepared a chamber student choir, with which he performed P. Hindemith's six choruses by the Austrian writer R.M. Rilke (Rilke). texts.1985-1986 D. Sverdiol organized a series of organ music concerts by O. Messiaen in the Vilnius Archcathedral Basilica. As a soloist, he performed with symphony and chamber orchestras and various ensembles, accompanied soloists and choirs. The organist's concert programs are dominated by romantic and contemporary music. He is the first performer of many new works for the organ by Lithuanian composers. For some time, he taught organist courses at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and the Vilnius Conservatory. As a soloist organist, he participated in many festivals and concerts in Latvia, Estonia, Ukraine, Russia, Poland, Germany, Czechoslovakia, Bulgaria, England, the Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Canada, France, Denmark. Organ music recordings were made by Lithuanian and foreign radio.in 1997 D. Sverdiol founded and manages the organ building company "Organum" in Vilnius. He builds and repairs organs in Lithuania and abroad. He has built more than 20 organs in churches and music education institutions.
