Valery Priyomykhov opened the way to the world of cinema for Smolyaninov. The film “Who If Not Us” was released in 1998, and when filming took place, Arthur was 14 years old. When Priyomykhov died, Arthur took it very hard. “Who else if not us” became a ticket to the profession. Immediately after his successful film debut, Arthur played in the film “Triumph” (2000). The actor became widely famous for his role as Lyuty in the film about the Afghan war “9th Company” (2005) directed by Fyodor Bondarchuk.
In 2000, after completing high school as an external student, at the age of 16 he entered and in 2004 graduated from the directing department with a degree in acting at the Russian Academy of Theater Arts (GITIS) (course director - Leonid Efimovich Kheifets). By this time, Smolyaninov already had almost a dozen works in film and television under his belt.
