Valery Priyomykhov opened the way to the world of cinema for Smolyaninov. The film “Who If Not Us” was released in 1998, and when filming took place, Arthur was 14 years old. In 2000, after completing high school as an external student, at the age of 16 he entered and in 2004 graduated from the directing department with a degree in acting at the Russian Academy of Theater Arts (GITIS) (course director - Leonid Efimovich Kheifets). By this time, Smolyaninov already had almost a dozen works in film and television under his belt.
