Father Justinas Marcinkevičius. In 1980 he graduated from the A. Lunacharsky Institute of Theatre Art in Moscow.
1980-1983 worked at the Theatre Society of the Lithuanian SSR in Vilnius, 1983-1990 at the Art History Sector of the Institute of History of the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences, 1990-1994 at the Institute of Culture and Art, and since 1997 at the editorial office of the magazine "Kultūros barai". Since 1990 lecturer at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, since 2002 Head of the Department of History and Theory of Art at the Academy; since 2007 associate professor.
The main field of research is the history and theory of theatre in the second half of the 20th century and the present day. She has published articles on theatre history, theory and criticism in Lithuanian and foreign press.
