Graduated from Kaunas 40th Secondary School in 1986. 1987-1989 - served in the Soviet army as a deminer. Since 1990 he has been working in the Archaeology Department of the Lithuanian National Museum. In 1996 he graduated from the Faculty of History of Vilnius University and obtained a degree in history.
Member of the Lithuanian Archaeological Society.
1983-1986 he attended the young archaeologists' group at the Kaunas Children's Tourism Centre. Participated in the archaeological researches of Laukojo (Ignalina county municipality), Šakių lankos (Varėnos county municipality), Šventoji (Palanga municipality) (research leader Rimutė Rimantienė), Dusios (Lazdijai county municipality), Gluobiai (Šakiai county municipality) and Gluobiai (Šakiai county municipality).Zapsės ancient settlement and cemetery (research supervisor Vygandas Juodagalvis), Bakšiai ancient settlement and Paduobė-Šaltaliūnė mounds (research supervisor Valdas Steponaitis).

The topic of my diploma thesis is "Kretuonii Hillfort".
Archaeological research interests: search for new archaeological monuments, history of the collections of the Lithuanian National Museum.
Since 1997 I have been participating in the activities of living archaeology (demonstration of ceramic pottery moulding and firing)
