In the same year, he came to work at Kaunas Faculty of Art, where he connected all his further educational and creative activities. Rimvydas has been working under the vaults of his native Alma Mater for almost 40 years, combining continuous educational, administrative and creative activities. For the last few decades, he was the head of the Drawing Studio and supervised the education of traditional art technologies. He taught undergraduate students the basics of stained glass, academic drawing, plastic anatomy, and the connections between watercolour and drawing.
Rimvydas began his career in stained glass and is particularly credited with the decoration of Lithuanian churches and chapels. In Kaunas, Rimvydas' stained glass windows adorned the famous monumental Basilica of the Resurrection of Christ, the Church of the Queen of the Rosary of St. Mary of the Rosary in Palemonas, the Church of the Sisters of St. Mary of the Rosary of the Aleksotas in Kaunas, the Church of the Holy Cross in Kaunas, and the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Kaunas. The chapel of the Congregation of the Servants of the Heart of Jesus of Aleksotas. The stained glass projects in Gargždai "St. Michael the Archangel" church, Kraki "St. Matthew" church, Šiauliai "St. Peter and Paul" church, Jokūbavas "St. Mary Magdalene" church, etc., are worth mentioning.
Rimvydas paid a lot of attention to the study of drawing and watercolour techniques and their creative possibilities. In the last five years alone, he has participated in the world watercolour exhibitions in Fabriano, Italy and Varna, Bulgaria, and showed his compositions at the Republican watercolour exhibition "Without Grimo" in 2018, In 2017-2018, Rimvydas, together with his long-time friend and colleague Jonas Arčikauskas, organised an exhibition "Intymus", which toured Lithuania, in which he reviewed his creative path. He was proud to have the opportunity to exhibit his last solo exhibition of drawings, "Prayer", at Kaunas Basilica of the Resurrection of Christ in 2019.
Rimvydas Mulevičius was a keeper of the traditions of the Kaunas School of Art, and, together with other colleagues, he has nurtured a number of talented artists. Apparently, this is the only form of eternity for an artist - to remain in his own work and that of his students.
