Since 1963 she has been singing in the choir "Ąžuoliukas" of the Republican Teachers' Home for Boys and Young People. In 1973-1979 he studied choral conducting at the Lithuanian State Conservatoire (senior lecturer P. Gylis). In 1985-1986 he had a traineeship at the Moscow Gnesin Music Pedagogical Institute and the Moscow Chamber Choir (director Prof. V. Musinas). In 1992 he had a traineeship in Germany - at the J. S. Bach Academy in Stuttgart and the Bavarian Radio Choir in Munich. 1979-1989 - teacher of conducting the choir of the Klaipėda faculties of the Lithuanian State Conservatoire, 1988-1989 - dean of the Faculty of Culture, 1985 - prepared the girls' choir of the faculties for the Republican Song Festival. He trained about 15 young choir conductors at the faculties. Together with V. Pečiulių, for some time he directed the men's choir of the Klaipėda House Construction Combine, which won first prize at the VII International Stasys Šimkus Choir Competition in 1987.
Since autumn 1988 A. Vildžiūnas has directed the women's choir "Deimena" of the Western Ship Repair Company. In 1988, the choir won the absolute best women's choir title at the choir competition "Singing Lithuania" in Vilnius, and in 1989, it won the second prize at the VIII Stasys Šimkus Choir Competition, and took part in the 1990 Lithuanian National Song Festival in Vilnius.
In 1991-1993, Vildžiūnas was a senior assistant at the Choir Conducting Department of the Lithuanian Academy of Music's Kaunas Faculty of Music. 1989-1993 Artistic Director and Chief Conductor of the Lithuanian Radio and Television Mixed Chamber Choir. The choir sang at the 60th anniversary concert of the birth of conductor L. Abarius, performed, among other works, together with the Šiauliai Polifonija Choir, a new work by the jubilarian "Three Colours" dedicated to the memory of Stalin's victims, and in 1990 took part in the traditional concerts of the Lithuanian Composers' Union's Lithuanian music festival "Muzikos ruduo", where it performed a new piece by L. Martinaicis' new work Prakalba į malonąjį klausytoją (accompanied by a children's choir, conducted by A. Vildžiūnas) and B. Borisov's symphony Memorialas (accompanied by a symphony orchestra, conducted by J. Domarkas). At the end of 1990 the choir took part in the 1st Baltic States Radio and Television Choir Festival in Riga (Latvia), together with other choirs, soloists and the symphony orchestra, performed for the first time in Vilnius the cantata "Songs of the Gurė" by A. Schoenberg, conducted by J. Domarkas. Vildžiūnas prepared the choir for the 1990 Lithuanian National Song Festival in Vilnius.
Since 1993 he has been a rehearsal soloist at the Klaipėda Musical Theatre, and from 1993-1996 he was the artistic director and conductor of the Klaipėda Concert Hall's professional mixed choir Aukuras, together with V. Konstantinovas (one of the conductors from 1997-2022). The choir (24-28 members) has been trained in a wide range of compositions of different eras and styles and has given over 300 concerts in Lithuania and abroad: in Germany, the United States, Mexico, Canada, Thailand, Sweden, the Czech Republic and elsewhere. In 1994, at the International Choir Competition in Riva del Garda, Italy, the choir won two gold diplomas and a prize for the best interpretation of national music. In 1995, at the International Choir Competition in Switzerland (Montreux), it won second prize and the prize for the best performance of a compulsory work. In 1996 Aukuras was awarded first prize in the category of free programme performance at the International Choir Competition in Tours, France, and in the 1996 Schubert International Choir Competition in Wien, Austria, Klaipėda won second prize. In 1994 Aukuras won first place in the mixed choir category at the 1st World Lithuanian Song Festival in Vilnius, and in 1995 at the 10th Stasys Šimkus International Choir Competition in Klaipėda it won Grand Prix. "Aukuras performed well at the 1995 International Choir Competition in Italy (Areca), and at the 1998 International Choir Competition in Sweden (Oskarshamn) it won the first and second prizes and the Grand Prix of the competition. In 1998, at the 2nd World Lithuanian Song Festival Competition in Vilnius, Aukuras won the first prize in its category, and competed in the second round of the competition for the Grand Prix, winning the award for the most complex programme performed by the choir. Among the large-scale works prepared by Aukuras are F. Poulenc's cantata "Snow Evening", R. Šileika's "Resurrection" for choir and organ, Z.
Virks's oratorio - mystery "Honouring the Sea", V. Miškinis's Cantate Domino, J. Tamulionis's "On the Shore", N. Sinkevičiūtė's "Night in the Barn", N. A. Koszewski's "Ballade", etc.
Since 1997, A. Vildžiūnas has been the director of the Plungė Chamber Mixed Choir, which he prepared for the 2nd World Lithuanian Song Festival and Competition in 1998, and he was also the conductor of the festival in Vilnius.
