Vladimir Glushenkov was born into a family with Russian-Polish-German roots.V. Glušenkovs graduated from the Riga School of Applied Arts (sculpture class) and the Latvian Academy of Arts, majoring in "scenography" (1976).
The artist has participated in exhibitions since the late 1960s. From 1976 to 1996 - Latvian Television artist and scenographer. V. Glušenkovs had staged performances in the Latvian National and Fine Arts Theaters, as well as in the post-Youth Theater (during the director O. Škatov's time), in the independent theater "Kabata"; he designed large-format posters for "Rīga" and "Spartaks" cinemas. In the 1970s, he was an illustrator for the magazine "Liesma".Spouse Terezija is a scholar of theater art, a graduate of the State Institute of Theater Art (Russian abbreviation - ГИТИС) in Moscow, he has worked at the E. Smilģas Theater Museum for many years.
