In 1973, she graduated from LGITMiK (course of A. Musil).
As a 4th year student, she made her debut on the stage of the Alexandrinsky Theater in A. Shtein's play "Nights without Stars" (staged by A. Musil), where she played the role of Victoria. In the Alexandrinsky Theater A. Islentyeva worked for 10 years - from 1974 to 1984. Here her acting successes are associated with the names of A. Musil, V. Erenberg, N. Sheiko, A. Sagalchik.
From 1984 to 1988. A. Islentyeva lives and works in Tallinn.
Since 1988 A. Islentyeva is an artist of the Moscow Theater "Hermitage". Played in the plays: "Where to find Alice?", "Paris Life", "The Queen's Diaries", "Straw Hat", "Don Juan".
A. Islentyeva has worked extensively in radio. Islentyeva worked a lot on the radio. She took part in radio productions, among them: "People's Malachi" by N. Kulish (staged by N. Sheiko), "The Marriage of Balsaminov" by A. N. Ostrovsky (staged by Y. Eremin).
Since 1992, the artist works in the Moscow State Philharmonic, where she performs solo recitation programs. The winner of the award "For the best female role" of the theatrical festival "This Victory Day", organized by the "Masks" Foundation named after I. M. Smoktunovsky. M. Smoktunovsky. (For playing the role of Mother in the play "The Last Letter").
In 2003 she debuted on the stage of the Moscow Art Theater named after A. P. Chekhov in the role of Prepolovenskaya in the play by N. Sheiko "Teacher of Literature" (V. Semenovsky on "Small Demon" by F. Sologub). Now plays at the Moscow Art Theater Eugenie in N. Skorik's play "Ondine" by J. Giraudoux.
