Graduated from Šiauliai Pedagogical Institute in 1986. Since 1994 he has been teaching at the National M. K. Čiurlionis School of Arts.
Creates objects and installations using his own and other people's handmade or factory-made objects, as well as natural objects. The works are varied: small (Shelf - Song, 1990), large (Carriage, 1998), mostly movable, some compositional, some linked to a specific place (Stamping, 1995).) Their paradoxical and conceptual nature is emphasised by the clever, unexpected combination and interpretation of objects that seemingly belong to the domestic sphere; the work is influenced by 20th century Western art movements (Dada, Surrealism, New Realism, etc.).
