1992 graduated from the Lithuanian Academy of Music (J.V. Bruveris music history class), 1996 - from the Central European University in Budapest (Master's Degree in Middle Ages Studies). Since 1990 he has been teaching at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre (until 1992 Lithuanian Conservatoire, 1992-2004 Lithuanian Academy of Music); Associate Professor (2018). Since 2013 he has also been teaching at Vilnius University. 1992-2001 Editor-in-Chief, Information Manager and Deputy Director of the Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra. Since 2001 producer of music broadcasts for Lithuanian Radio and Television. 2012-15 Researcher at the Lithuanian Culture Research Institute.
