1999-2005 I studied Archaeology at the Faculty of History of Vilnius University. In 2003 I defended my bachelor's thesis "Ceramics of Narva Culture in the Context of Economic and Spiritual Changes". In 2004 I went to the University of Tartu, Estonia, to further my studies. In 2005 I finished my Master's studies with the diploma thesis "Reconstruction of the production technologies of the Narva culture ceramics".
My main focus is on the ceramics of the Neolithic cultures of the Eastern Baltic region, with a special interest in the ceramics of the Narva culture and the reconstruction of archaeological ceramics. Since 2004 I have been involved in the reconstruction of archaeological ceramics in the Vilnius Potters' Workshop. As part of this project, every year camps open to visitors are organised in the courtyard of the Trakai Peninsula Castle, where scientific research on archaeological ceramics is carried out, and the old pottery production technologies are reconstructed experimentally. I prepared a report on this topic "Features of Ceramics of Narva Culture" at the conference "Footsteps of Old Ceramics" held at the Vilnius Academy of Arts in 2004, and my article "Production of Ceramics of Narva Culture (Reconstructions Based on Experimental Archaeology)" was published in Estonian Journal of Archaeology in 2005.
2005-2006.
I worked as an artist in the Archaeology Department of the Lithuanian Historical Institute, I was the executive secretary of the publication "Lithuanian Archaeology", and currently I am a senior museum assistant in the Prehistoric Archaeology Collections Department of the National Museum of Lithuania.
Leisure time is spent at the Restoration Centre of the National Museum of Lithuania, volunteering my time to assist the ceramics restorers, and directing the early music ensemble "Lirum".
