She grew up in the village of Svarychiv, Rozhnyativ district, Ivano-Frankivsk region, where her mother came from.After graduating from the 8th grade, she entered the Khust Cultural and Educational School (now the Uzhgorod College of Culture and Arts) at the director's department, which she graduated with honors.
From 1974 to 1978, she studied at the I. K. Karpenko-Kary Kyiv Institute of Theater Arts at the acting department in the class of Iryna Molostova.She worked at the Odesa Music and Drama Theater named after of the October Revolution (1978-1989).In 1990, she moved to Lviv. She worked at the Lviv Youth Theater (1990—1998). In 1997, together with the director Iryna Volytska, she created the independent creative association "Theatre in a basket" (now the creative workshop "Theatre in a basket" of the Les Kurbas National Center for Theatrical Arts), which she works to this day. Since 2003, she has been a member of the "Ukrainian Workers" project (Kyiv).
