Lithuanian art theorist and critic.
1990 - graduated in art history from Vilnius Academy of Arts. 1991-1993 lecturer at Šiauliai Children's Art School, 1993-1994 lecturer at Šiauliai Music Conservatoire, 1995-1996 assistant professor at the Department of Art History, Vilnius Academy of Arts, since 1999 assistant professor at the Department of Philosophy, Šiauliai University, since 2000.
From 1992 to the present, he has been the Deputy Director of the Šiauliai Art Gallery for cultural activities.
He researches postmodern art and visual culture, analyses it in the broad context of contemporary cultural studies and philosophy. He delves into the development of Lithuanian fine art in the late 20th and early 21st centuries, and seeks to establish its postmodern interpretation.
Curator and participant of exhibitions and artistic projects (Visual Art and Music Project "Zuwys", with Paulis Arlauskas, 1994-1998, Media Art Festival "Enter", since 2002, Contemporary Art Festival "Virus"). Since 2003, author of the thematic radio programmes "Regimybės" (2005), "ArtStudija" (2005) on Lithuanian Radio, and "Splius" (2005), and "ArtStudija" (2005) on Splius TV.
In 2004, he became a member of the International Art Critics Association (AICA). In 2005 he became a member of the Lithuanian Artists' Union.
