Juozas Pranckevičius was born on 26 October 1952. Born on 26th July 2007 in Vilnius, Lithuania. He studied architecture. Member of the Lithuanian Artists' Union since 2009, member of the group of "individualist" painters.
Juozas Pranckevičius is a man of "inner burning", strong inner energy. His paintings are dominated by landscapes, marine and urban motifs. Most of his landscapes were painted en plein air,
which is why the paintings show a harmony of colours, a variety of combinations, and a decisive and emotional brush language. These are the most general and characteristic features of his paintings. There are also specific features. For example, in his urban landscapes, he is more concerned with composition, in his landscapes he is more concerned with colour, and in his seascapes he is more concerned with conveying space and mood. He has been participating in exhibitions since 1982.He has held over 40 solo exhibitions and participated in over 50 group exhibitions. He has also participated in solo and group exhibitions in foreign countries - Italy, Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Latvia, China, Nepal, South Korea, Ukraine, Belarus, Russia, Estonia, France, India. He founded the art gallery "Juozas Art", which has held over 60 solo exhibitions of the most famous Lithuanian and foreign painters. His works have been acquired by collectors from the USA, Canada, China, Dubai, Latvia, Russia, Germany, Italy, Poland, France, Belgium, Estonia, Belarus, Norway, Nepal, South Korea, the Czech Republic and the Armenian National Gallery. Active in charity campaigns and international plein-air exhibitions.
