Father Kazimieras Stasiulevičius - organist, choirmaster, composer of church music, pupil of Stasys Šimkus and Juozas Naujalis, who helped to organise the first Song Festival in Lithuania in 1924. His brother Juozas Stasiulevičius (1922-1972) was one of the first atomic scientists in Lithuania, founder and head of the Nuclear Energy and Radioisotopes Laboratory of the Lithuanian Institute of Energy.
Aloyzas Stasiulevičius started attending the primary school in Salantai (Plungė district) in 1939, and graduated from the Kėdainiai Boys' Grammar School in 1950. From 1950-1956 he studied painting at the Vilnius Art Institute.
1956-1957 he taught drawing and watercolour at the Telšiai Applied Art Technical School (from 1960-1976 he taught painting and drawing at the National Nicholas Konstantinos Čiurlionis School of Arts), from 1976-1979 he taught painting and composition at the Vilnius Art Institute (since 1990 - Vilnius Academy of Arts). 2004-2006 - taught composition and painting at the Faculty of Arts of Klaipėda University. Since 1979 - a free artist.
Since 1957 participates in exhibitions. Until 2017 he has held more than 90 solo exhibitions in museums and galleries in Lithuania and abroad. The artist's works have represented contemporary Lithuanian art in more than 80 group exhibitions in various countries around the world. Participated in about 170 group exhibitions in Lithuania. Since 1960 - member of the Lithuanian Artists' Union. He has written and published about 100 articles of art criticism and memoirs.
