Lithuanian ballet dancer, teacher, ballet master.
Wife: ballerina Sigita Vabaleviciute, daughter: Rūta Kudžmaitė. Graduated from the Moscow Choreography School in 1965, studied with Russian teachers - J. Kondratov, N. Cherkaskaya and Pyotr Piestov. Since 1965 he has been a dancer with the Lithuanian Opera and Ballet Theatre, since 1967 a soloist, since 2005 a rehearser with the ballet company of this theatre. From 1994 to 2006 he taught at the Čiurlionis Art School.
He has created roles in classical and contemporary ballets by foreign and Lithuanian composers. He has created choreographic compositions (Adagio, 2003, based on the music of P. Tchaikovsky, Laimis Vilkončius. Peter Pan, 2005, with other choreographers). The work is characterised by lyricism, restrained emotionality, expressiveness for character roles. With the Lithuanian Opera and Ballet Theatre he has toured in Great Britain, Egypt, Holland, Mexico, France, Argentina, USA, Japan, Germany, Mongolia, Finland, Spain, Italy, Greece, Sweden and other countries.
