Lithuanian entertainment business figure, politician. He became famous as a member of the music group "ŽAS".
At the age of 14 he started to learn to play guitar, double bass, trumpet and percussion on his own. Later, together with Marius "Tru" Berenis and Tomas Rimkus (basketball player), he founded the punk rock band Vėdarai and recorded his first cassette.
1991 graduated from the 27th Secondary School of Vilnius. Originally wanting to study acting at the Vilnius Conservatoire, he changed his mind and, together with the same comrades, formed the heavy metal (death metal) band Regredior, which lasted for 3 years, during which time it released a vinyl 12-inch in Germany and a CD in Belgium, and performed at clubs and festivals in Lithuania, Poland, Germany and England.
In 1994, together with Marius Berenis, he started to work as a presenter of the radio station M-1's Lithuanian music programme "Lithuanian Decibels". After getting acquainted with Lithuanian pop music, he and Marius Berenis recorded the songs "Debilas ir bažnyčioje debilas" and "Ne pieną gėręs ne nuo nuo pieną ir mirsi" (Not drinking milk and dying from milk), which is how the band "Žas" (Žertva Ant Smūgio) was born. The band aimed to ironically mock the values of life of degraded Lithuanian people and Lithuanian pop music. In May 1995, Andrius Mamontovas invited the band to participate in the birthday concert of the music group Foje in Vingis Park (the performance at the 1995 concert is considered to be the beginning of the existence of the band "Žas"). Linas Karalius started his career as a vocalist and got the nickname Aesop. As a member of Žas, he helped the band to release 14 albums. In 2000 he starred in the Lithuanian TV humour series "Grybauskai" (directed by Maris Martinsons, Raimondas Paškevičius).In 2001 he became interested in the spiritual development of human beings, became a vegetarian and stopped drinking intoxicants. In 2004 he left the group and started working for the Vilnius City Municipality, getting involved in the drug addiction prevention programme in schools. He studied part-time at the Faculty of Education of Šiauliai University. In 2005, together with his wife Raimonda, he opened the TranzArt yoga studio in the centre of Vilnius. L. Karalius was the author and main curator of the project "New Fashion". He has lectured on the consequences of intoxication in children's homes and summer holiday camps. He teaches yoga and breathing meditation workshops for adults.
