Studied at the Polish Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk, Faculty of Sculpture and Media. His final thesis/sculptural object "A Question about Space" was awarded the Rector's Diploma as the best final thesis. Currently, he works at the Department of Sculpture and Media at the Gdańsk Academy of Fine Arts, as an assistant in the Studio of Drawing Fundamentals, and organizes and leads the plein-air workshop "Alternative Ceramics".

To implement his creative ideas, he designs and builds ceramic firing and metal melting furnaces. He works in the fields of sculpture, installation, drawing, ceramics and metal sculptures. Dmitrij Buławka-Fankidejski is the winner of the Grand Prize of the international virtual exhibition Transformation at Bonart Project 2021 and received an Honorary Award at the National Ceramic Sculpture Review, WL4 Gdansk 2019. He has participated in various exhibitions, open-air events and seminars in Poland and abroad in Slovakia, France, Romania, Lithuania, Latvia.
