is a Belgian singer-songwriter and presenter. He became known in 2009 through his participation in Zo is er maar een (on Een). Arne Vanhaecke studied Communication Sciences at Ghent University. He plays guitar and ukulele. He was first noticed in Ghent at the youth radio Urgent.fm. Radio Donna soon also noticed his musical talent. Every Friday morning he could be heard during David in de Ochten with his own section, "the Speed Song", where he made a song about current events in 30 minutes.
In 2008 he won the Radio 2 competition "Write just one". His song "Luisje" was chosen as the winner from more than 450 entries, and was a much-played single on the radio. Eva De Roovere described it as "a song to fall in love with". Performances with Sioen, Elliot Murphy, Bob Neuwirth and Axl Peleman followed.
In the spring of 2009, Arne Vanhaecke took part in the fourth and final season of Zo is er maar een and ultimately lasted 3 broadcasts. In 2010, Vanhaecke became the new face of the youth TV channel vtmKzoom with unruly sidekick Joyce Beullens. He served as an announcer and also presented various programs, including the current affairs magazine Woow! and the playful profession under scrutiny. His latest achievement for vtmKzoom was Boss in the House, a quiz in which children and parents compete against each other.
At the end of December 2015, he left the channel on his own initiative. In the meantime, Vanhaecke could also be heard in various musical projects, both as a solo artist and in a group. From April 2013, he was also the lead singer of the kids band De Bende for a while. Since September 2013, Vanhaecke and Born Crain have been performing a weekly comedy musical medley about current affairs in the morning show on radio station Qmusic. The duo also had their own program there for a year and a half from February 8, 2015, until June 2015 this was De Hitdokter on Sunday afternoon and from September 2015 to June 2016 De Zesde Dag on Saturday morning.
