Graduated from the Lithuanian Art Institute in 1967, teachers Juozas Mikėnas and Aldona Ličkutė-Jusionienė. 1972-1989 ceramic artist at the Vilnius Art Combine. Since 1989 lecturer at the Lithuanian Art Institute (since 1990 Vilnius Academy of Arts), since 1992 associate professor.
Created ceramic compositions for interiors (Flora 1972-1973, at the Ministry of Water Economy and Melioration in Vilnius, now the company Lietuvos melioracija), decorative panels ("Motiejus Kazimieras Sarbievijus" 1980), installations (Puota 1996-1998, "Leaving" 1996, "Desire" 2001) He sculpted zoomorphic figures and their compositions ("Longing" 1983, "Three Beasts", "Lone Wolf", "Night", all in 1984, "Pastoral" 1986, "Dinner" 1995) Ceramics is characterised by unity of idea and form, associativity, expression, expressive texture, elements of the grotesque, sculptural sculpture ("City", "Antiquity", "Fate", all 1986, "Requiem", "Sacrifice", both 1988 - architectonics, constructiveness), Participated in more than 30 international exhibitions in Lithuania and abroad (international ceramics exhibition in Faenza in 1987).The Lithuanian Art Museum, the National Čiurlionis Art Museum, the National Museum of Lithuania own his works.
