Biography

Ineta Stasiulytė is a theatre and film actress. Born on 17 May 1980 in Telšiai. Here she started her career as an actress - she acted in the children and youth studio "Aglija" (directed by Laima Adomaitienė) of Telšiai Žemaitė Drama Theatre. This director brought her to the theatre. In those years, the Aglija troupe toured extensively, performing their own productions not only in Lithuania but also abroad. At the age of 16, she was already touring Monaco, playing in the theatre of Princess Grace Kelly, a legendary Hollywood actress. She was given the lead role in Tennessee Williams' interpretation of the play "The Condemned House". She was excellent. She also created the role in the Aglia Studio's production of Flowers. Both of these productions were among the five best children's and youth productions in Lithuania that year. In 1995 Ineta was awarded the prize for the best female role at the Baltic Satelid International Festival, and in 1999 she won the Magdelė prize in Telšiai.

She has always dreamt of becoming a dancer, loved ballet and was interested in existential questions. When Ineta graduated from high school, the choreographer Anželika Cholina had created a dance programme for her. However, she chose theatre over dance as her main path in life and enrolled at the Lithuanian Academy of Theatre and Music to study acting. Here, in the capital, she began to create roles in the Vilnius Little Theatre and Domino Theatre. She joined the Vilnius Little Theatre together with all her other course mates (the director Rimas Tuminas took his entire course with him when he created the Vilnius Little Theatre that year). She has created roles in the films "Inexperienced", "Got a Call 3", acted in several TV series, etc.

In 2008, she was awarded the Golden Stage Cross as the best performer in a supporting role for the role of Liza in the play "All is Well" (Vilnius Maly Teatras).

In Lithuania Ineta is also known as a good dancer. She has a daughter, Upė, who lives with a professional tango dancer and teacher Eduards Chimenes. In 2010 she participated in the TV3 project "Dance with Me". During this project she became close friends with dancer D. Meškauskas. This acquaintance was fatal - they started living together1 and in October 2018 they had a daughter.
