Aigars Reinis was born in 1975. in the city of Jelgava, Latvia. He began his musical education by attending organ, music pedagogy and choir conducting courses at the Jelgava Music College, then continued his organ studies at the Latvian Academy of Music under professor T. Deksnīs. In 1997 and 1998, he continued to improve his organ playing skills by attending the master courses of professors L.Lohmann (Germany), H.O.Ericsson and H.Aellsten (Sweden) and at the International Organ Academy in Uppsala.
The young musician successfully participated in several competitions for young choir conductors, international organ competitions in Lahti (Finland), Erfurt organ competition in Germany (1999); performed in Latvia, Germany, Czech Republic, Poland, France, Hungary, Italy, Norway and Sweden. For several years, he was a professional singer of the chamber choir Ave Sol and the Latvian Radio Choir, but currently he is a member of Jelgava's St. Cantor and organist of Anna's church.
