elaborately weaves sculptural narratives reflecting memories of his childhood and years of study, which are particularly evident in his debut solo exhibition OPTIMISM-FUN-LABDARA (2023, LOOK!, Riga). In his work, he delves into the struggle for individuality under the conditions of enforced conformity. Through abstract spatial installations, he explores the collision of written laws, religious values and the reality of strict institutional control. Everyday objects and religious symbols take on a sinister significance, embodying his resistance to conservatism. Brege's work, which often explores mystical imagery, stories and parallel realities, symbolises a quest to break free from the scars left by a mentally closed and oppressive environment. Brežė has participated in various group exhibitions and projects, such as SUBFRAME.XYZ (2023, BRĪVĪBAS 40, LV), Last Harvest (2022, MABOCA, LV), Outdoors (2021, SAVVAĻA, LV), Unexplained but Fact (2021, RMG, LV).
