Soviet and Russian theater and film actor. People's Artist of the Russian Federation (2000). Laureate of the State Prize of the Russian Federation (1998). He played in performances of the Moscow theaters Gogol Center, Mossovet Theater. He collaborated with the lecture hall "Direct Speech", where he held solo performances. His solo programs included the prose of Gogol ("Dead Souls" with musicians of the Moscow Conservatory), Zoshchenko, Erdman, Dovlatov, Solzhenitsyn, Filipenko. He recorded audiobooks and audio performances. In November 2022, he was fired from the Mossovet Theater for his anti-war position and left for Lithuania.
